Frankenstein--- Dad? Daaaad?

Quote from pg 69:
I am thy creature, and I will be even mild and docile to my natural lord and king, if thou wilt also perform thy part, the which thou owest me.
The creature's view of Victor differs greatly from Victor's view of the creature. It is obvious from the instant the creature comes to life that Victor regrets his creation. Victor is terrified of his creature; he detests him. He wishes to never see the creature again. On page 69 Victor says, "Begone! I will not hear you". Initially, he refuses to even listen to the creature's story. All in all, he views the creature in a negative light.

Contrarily, the creature initially views Victor in a positive light. When he is first alive, he reaches out to Victor as a creator, as a father even. He knows that he should have a loving relationship with Victor, and this lack of a relationship hurts him. He is aware that Victor owes him for abandoning him.

Until Next Time,
Alysse
